Website Programming

We use open source software to produce fast and effective results. This means there are no license costs or a large community of developers that maintain the software we implement. Websites can start simple and grow into something more advanced. With the help of many contributors to open source projects, we are able to utilise advances that even commercial projects can't keep pace with.

Open source projects that project a good foundation/platform for websites come under the category of content management systems, or CMSs for short. We choose to use the Drupal project.

Design

We design a theme that will suit you by understanding you, your competition and your clients. The design will reflect you but also be put across in a way that will be understood by others. We design for all major Internet browsers by using the Zen Garden approach. By doing so, your website should look the same in every Internet browser.

Development

We install, configure and modify your website using community- contributed and maintained modules. Development takes place when features need to be added and modules need tweaking. You are a major member of the development team with us from the beginning. You will be able to check the progress of your website in our sandbox environment where you will be able to see the latest changes as they are developed.

Hosting

When development is completed, we take care of hosting your website for you. We manage any changes to your website that cannot be done within your CMS. You will be able to add pages, blog entries, pictures and the like without our help once you have learned these steps through our one-hour training session.

Once the website is 'live' to the public, it is only the beginning. We expect that you will continue to come up with new ideas and features that you want added to your website and we will help you with this.

Websites start at $2,000 and include:

Extra:

  • Photography of your business is $50 per half hour or part thereof
  • Each website page layout is $250
  • Monthly hosting is $20/month
