Honesty

Hot tears roll down my cold cheeks and it suddenly seems like nothing is working out. My belly holds a life that is growing without me even thinking about it but my own life seems to require lot of thought and action, too much thought and not enough action if i'm being honest about it. The 'What ifs?' and 'I can'ts' plague me daily and follow me around, refusing to leave.

In the face of your troubles, your face still shone like the morning sun

I'm feeling a bit emotional today but looking at pictures of our Valentine's Day picnic in the park (we celebrated the day after when it was nice and quiet, just the way we like it) lifts my spirit. As does listening to Sara Groves' 'Remember Surrender'.

Remember surrender
Remember the rest
Remember that weight lifting off of your chest
And realizing that it's not up to you and it never was

Remember surrender
Remember relief
Remember how tears rolled down both of your cheeks

Our First Slideshow!

Our Shop Opening

Our shop opened yesterday after a month of website programming and photo editing. We are so proud to be able to show off our hard work. The prints currently available are from three places around the world: London, New York City and Paris. The galleries show scenes from every day moments. Happy browsing!

A day out in the city

On Friday, we took our car in for its half yearly service and then hopped on the 343 for an expedition in the city. The bus ride was sweaty and crowded and the temperature outside was quickly rising. It was probably not the best day to be walking around outdoors, which we quickly realised when we got off at Circular Quay.

The Hall Family

I remember trying to dodge the bluebottles on the sand as i was photographing this family. I'm glad the shoot produced some good photos despite my fear!

Sneak Peeks!

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family once again. You may have seen Julie and Joachim in my portfolio but this time, Gary joined us as well. They are moving to America next week. I'm going to miss seeing their faces at the beach! Joachim- he's going to be a heartbreaker some day. He has so many ladies fighting over him as it is. Jules is a lucky mamma.

The Second Shooter

Well, being the second shooter is not really my role, but I do enjoy taking shots when I get the chance. I would say that I'm good with timing, but my composition needs some work. For Gen composition is her strength.

I had a chance to get Gen playing with Joachim today after their shoot at Bronte beach. I think I did well. I used the 55-250mm Canon lens which has a good aperture.

Our new website!

After weeks of hard work (including terribly long hours that were sweetened only by cups of tea and cuddles on the couch), we are so proud to have our new business and website launched. It has been such a lovely time for me, working with Jon and seeing him do his magic with the website. I feel that we are on the verge of something momentous and cannot wait to see where this venture will lead us.

Please join me in saying "Cheers!" to Sarah & Larsen.
